UMSkinCheck Checks for Skin Cancer ? Tech Trends


University of Michigan researchers have created an iPhone app, UMSkinCheck, that screens for skin cancer. ?The screening involves taking 23 nude photos of oneself with a smartphone ? pictures that will require someone else to take. ?The app reminds and walks users through self-exams and track any concerning lesions. ?UMSkinCheck also includes a risk-assessment quiz, examples of concerning skin lesions and reminders to check for signs of cancer.
